THE ICA LIBRARY

"A day in which you don't learn something is a day wasted."
Student Studying The library provides an environment which promotes academic excellence within an atmosphere of warmth and support. Resources are broad enough to provide research material for the courses offered as well as material for recreational reading and intellectual stimulation. The library also contains a vhs/dvd collection, a professional library for teachers, current issues of magazines and an extensive area for college catalogues/dvds. In addition to the school computer lab and the Flame Program’s computers, the library provides students access to twenty-four computers, a printer, scanner and copier. All students are provided with library cards from the San Francisco Public Library, allowing them to access a wide variety of searchable data bases without having to leave the campus. It is part of ICA’s goal to enable students to feel comfortable in the world of information science and to utilize research skills which will help them to adjust to college-level work and, beyond that, to the 21st century workplace.
