The ICA Parents' Guild is composed of all parents and guardians of students currently enrolled at ICA.
    The purposes of the ICA Parents' Guild are:
  1. to foster community among the parent membership;
  2. to support the spiritual growth of students and their families;
  3. to provide financial support for specified school projects.
    The requirements of ICA Parents Guild members are:
  1. to attend the General Parents’ meetings held twice a year;
  2. to support Parents’ Guild activities;
  3. to give fifteen service hours per year to the school.
   
      Opportunities for Service Hours
Please select the committees or activities you would like to participate in for 2009-2010 in order to fulfill your fifteen (15) hours of service per family.

    1. Walk-a-Thon (September 12) is one of our major fund-raisers. Volunteers are needed to assist on the day of the event to check in students at ICA and along the route. Also, at least one car is needed.  
    2. Beautification of ICA ((Saturday, October TBD; Saturday, March TBD) helps with general cleanup at school and with special projects in the Fall.  
    3. Holiday Boutique (Saturday, December 5) includes several forms of involvement: selling tables to vendors who offer their own goods for sale; collecting or marketing arts and crafts for sale at the Guilds' table; contributing baked goods; manning the snack/lunch bar; publicity; setting up, selling, cleaning up on the day of the event. Planning begins early in the school year.  
    4. Wine and Cheese with Silent Auction/Prizes and Gifts (TBD) obtains donations from parents, merchants, businesses, etc. for the silent auction.  
    5. Parking Control/Security assists at all parent events for parking at 23rd and Fair Oaks Street and St. Luke's and with general security.  
    6. ICA Parents’ Guild Board is the officiating body which coordinates parent events with the school. If you would like to join this illustrious group, contact the Principal, the Guild President or one of the members.  
    7. Other service opportunities may include assisting in the office; assisting moderators with special projects, chaperoning dances, etc. These opportunities are arranged with the individuals in charge, i.e., the office staff, class or club moderators.  
       
 


In order to record your service hours, please make sure that you sign in and out at each activity with the chairperson. Hours are assigned for the time worked.
