As the school continues to grow, Immaculate Conception Academy is actively pursuing new sponsors in the Bay Area. Prospective sponsors can range in size from small offices to large multi-national corporations (for a list of current corporate sponsors click Current Sponsors). A common element of successful sponsorship is a need for entry-level clerical support. The tasks student workers perform includes reception, data entry, document scanning and filing, records management, office correspondence, marketing and mail room support. In essence, sponsors should expect to get real work accomplished through this program.
The program currently covers organizations located in the northern peninsula, San Francisco, and BART accessible East Bay. Students work standard business hours: Monday – Friday between 8:30am and 4:30pm. The program runs concurrent with the school year, late August through early June. Summer employment, when needed or desired, can be arranged through the school or directly with the student.
Sponsors are assigned a work-study account representative as their primary point of contact. This representative is involved with sponsor orientation, team composition and on-going performance monitoring.
Sponsors pay a flat fee of $30,000 per year, or $3,000 per month (billed August – May), directly to the ICA Corporate Work Study Program for each full-time position. The money earned goes to offset a significant portion of each student’s cost of education, enabling the school to lower its tuition significantly.
For companies whose business cannot support a full team, partial teams of one, two, or three students are available at a pro-rated rate.
