The Working World

The Corporate Work Study Program expresses abundant gratitude for all the supervisors, mentors, companies, and partners who make this work possible. It truly is a team effort that allows each of our students the opportunity to learn, grow, and gain confidence as they become young women leading our community. We could not do this without each member and as we approach Thanksgiving, ICA Cristo Rey is sincerely thankful for each person’s efforts.

We also want to recognize a few outstanding efforts. On November 7th, we gave our Leadership Award to The Academy of Art for being an outstanding co-educator. The Academy sponsors up to 16 students in their offices in San Francisco showing not only how to make this program possible, but also successful. The Team of the Month honors goes to California Pacific Medical Center! Students work at the Kalmanovitz Child Development Center as part of their administration team and also assist with the programs working with visitors to the center. Thank you to CPMC for working with students to help them grow in their job and gain success. We celebrate the hard work of all our community members and look forward to continued progress.

Gala 2013 "Education That Works" a Tremendous Success!

Members of the Auxiliary & Junior Auxiliary wish to thank ICA's alumnae, benefactors, Board of Directors, faculty & staff, Dominican Sisters and friends for their tremendous support of the Education that Works Gala. 450 guests enjoyed a wonderful evening that began with the Louise M. Davies Cocktail Reception. Guests were escorted to dinner by ICA's Color guard team. The evening consisted of a raffle, live auction and an inspirational speech from Senior Claudia Aguilar. ICA students learned the art of networking (greeting guests) and marketing (selling raffle tickets) with the help of Auxiliary members. Pictured here are Junior Auxiliary member Lisa Thoman of ThisMoment and Senior Nikki Pasamic.
