Historically Black Colleges & University Scholars

ICA's Black Student Union attended the HBCU College fair at Mission High School.  There they were given the opportunity to meet representatives from many of America's historically Black colleges and universities.  The girls not only arrived prepared with their letters of recommendation and transcripts, but also professionally dressed for the occasion.  We are proud to say that five of our seniors were accepted on the spot to multiple universities.  Some also received scholarship money to put towards their tuition.  BSU looks forward to the success of our seniors and their future college endeavors.  Pictured left to right: Seniors Sommer Broussard, Trezuer Butler, Hoseana Asefha, Taylor McFarland and Marakie Haile.

Lululemon

Lauren Pfeiffer, a member of the ICA Young Professionals Group and associate at Lululemon, sponsored a workshop on campus for the juniors and seniors. Lauren and representatives from Lululemon presented a motivational interactive workshop for the students, engaging them in conversation and  goal setting activities focusing on healthy lifestyles. We are grateful to Lululemon and our Athletic Director Carolyn Sideco, for scheduling and supporting this opportunity for our students.
